Last week, I did a little bit of a throwaway post, because I was at work and it was slow. I’ve been trying to get Tuesday off since the start of the year, but there are current and potentially future staffing issues that are keeping it from happening.
Well, tonight it’s worse because our system is down and while they could almost certainly get by with three drivers after getting the system back up if I left now, they don’t want to send me so that no one else feels like it’s unfair. The problem is that the three late drivers all need their hours, so I would be the first to leave anyway. I have three jobs. Go ahead and send me home.
I’ve got the blog posts scheduled for the next so many days, but I need to write some fiction. Much like last week, I just feel like I could use the night to edit and post the material I’ve already written. Oh well. Maybe this will become a tradition. The Tuesday work rant, or something.
