Flash Fiction: Oh Yeah, That’s Right

He was sitting in a McDonald’s drive-thru. The line was barely moving. He still had three cars in front of him to the speaker box and only two cars had moved in the five minutes or so that he had already been here. Oh yeah. That’s right. He suddenly remembered why he hated delivering UberEats, particularly the late night rush, which was sad because he was really a late night type of guy. Not really a McDonald’s type of guy though. He really wasn’t sure why anyone would order this at the cost of $8 for the delivery, or whatever this location and UberEats combined we’re charging. Finally, the line started moving. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad delivery after all.
