Astronomy images are beautiful… sure.
I get Astronomy images from an old co-worker from NASA all the time (no, we did not work at NASA, I’m just saying it’s an old co-worker and he sends NASA pictures to me). The images are breath taking and phenomenal. Too bad it’s all crap.

It’s not some deceptive practice, it’s just standard business to HEAVILY edit the images to get them to look good (or to be visible at all). The end result is always so dramatic. Sorry, it just gets on my tits.
