Six Flags over Texas for 2026 Part 3

My work had a ‘Family Fun Day’ where our company and one other company had the whole park to ourselves. I thought “wow, this will be great”. Not so much. Infact there were more people here this time that there have been in my recent memory.

I agreed to ride the Sky Screamer again with my 7 year old and it wasn’t as bad this time. I guess it was because I knew what to expect. For reals I saw a nut on the ground right at the base of the ride…

We rode the Mine Train and me and my wife were in the 2nd car of the train and every time we started up a hill, our car would buck (raise up in front) like it was having issues. I was thinking we were gonna die…

They are in the middle of replacing siding on the final building that the Mine Train runs through. It was looking REALLY bad before this. They are also replacing siding on some other buildings around the park. That’s nice to see.

We avoided Looney Tunes Land because it was packed. Most rides had fairly long lines (long as in around 20-30 min wait). No one wanted to ride the Shockwave however. I don’t know the lines for the Titan or the Judge since we never got close enough to those.

We ate at Johnny Rockets and the guy there didn’t understand the disposable cup plan and screwed me. So 1 chicken strip meal and 2 drinks… 39.00 I KID YOU NOT.

We rode a couple more rides and let the kids ride a couple of rides on their own. Did I mention my wife was with us again this time?

2 weeks later (as I write this) I planned to go in mid November but the park is closed until Holiday in the Park starts in late November. I don’t remember it closing completely before this??? I hope they are open on the weekends in the Winter (after Holiday in the Park).
