Flash Fiction: Update Learn Apply

He plugged in for the weekly knowledge update. It was all the normal information at first. Updates about the Supreme World Government and the new of the world’s, followed with specific updates to his career and industry. This update would take about twenty minutes.
He sat there with his eyes closed. He wished this was a longer update. He did enjoy the new knowledge, but he mostly enjoyed the downtime. There was so little time to just be quiet and contemplate everything he did learn. It was new knowledge for the job and then right back to the job to apply the knowledge. It sometimes felt like a neverending cycle.
Knowledge was great, but it felt like knowledge for just the sake of knowing. There was no creativity. Learn. Apply.
