Review: Army Men (post 9 of 6) – According To Whim

Today I will be looking at the mixed lot that my wife picked up for me at a kids/baby consignment sale called Just Between Friends. I will mash up the name when we talk about it, calling it ‘Just Between Enemies’, ‘Just Between Frienemies’, etc. Good times…

Here is a grand shot of everything:

There are some classic tan and green guys (left), the mini guys (top right), some gray, green, and tan crappy dudes in the top right (the largest batch), some smaller green dudes on the bottom right next to some even darker and smaller green guys and finally a large grenade launcher solider and a blue fire fighter in the middle(ish).

Let’s explore and enjoy. All this was $2. Since this is a mixed lot I can’t really rate it (compare) to other sets.

This guys is huge. Not the large version of the normal Army Men, but some other brand.

It’s really hard to figure out if the next 3 guys are from the same set. I think the top one is from a different set just cause the detail is a little sharper.. It s soft sculpt, but it look nice.

I think this guys is with the set form the previous 3. His scuplt is pretty good. I’m not 100% certain but I will mark him seperatley.

These next 2 guys are the smaller of the lot (not including the tiny guys). They seem pretty cheap. They have a much older feel to the sculpt tho… I almost get a ‘the originals were metal’ vibe from it.

Well hello there big fella’. This one off guy was in there so I am including him in the review.

Here is the last (and I believe unrelated to the others) guy. He is about as close to as cheap and I have come with Army Men!

Finally there are these gems in the lot! These guys are small! There was one sealed bag and one that was already open (but they all seem to be there).
