2021…
Chris and I have been discussing goals recently and I revealed my 2021 goal (note, there is only 1).
1.) Make $1,000,000 Gross in 2021.
Big stuff, huh? In this day and age it isn’t as difficult as you might think.
Lets just say I sell my house in 2021, that might be 300k right there. That is why I picked my wording very carefully, gross income, not net.
So my list becomes a list of what needs to be done to get to that goal.
- Ebay
- Video Monetization
- Selling personal stuff
- Selling large personal items (houses, cars, etc)
- Investments
I don’t have multiple houses or anything but incase I sell my house or flip a house, it’s listed there.
Ebay is the easiest item right at the moment. Chris has been hitting the Bins and Thrift Stores but getting a million dollars by making $3 and $4 at a time is going to be too painfully slow.
Video Monetization is my my real endgame. It may take more than a year to start showing payback but Ive been hitting it hard. More to come on that later…
Selling my personal stuff is part of Chris’ theory. If you are going to be making money, sell your personal stuff and you can buy it back later. While I agree with that, there are some things I will exclude. For some reason I have always had an eye for ‘neat stuff’ that always seems to increase in value and reselling them makes me more than what I originally paid for them.
I have no plans to move but we got a great deal on our house and the market just keeps climbing. This would be a big ticket item if I sold. This also includes (possibly) my classic VW Beetle. I doubt it, but it’s there… I also mentioned house flipping. This is more of Chris idea but I have the skills to do renovations so it’s in the cards.
Finally is investments. I have a small stock portfolio that I plan on continuing to grow in the coming years. Due to the taxes owned on short sells (stocks you hold less than a year) it is kinda crappy to ‘day trade’ as it were but that money is sitting there if needed.
So, make a million. That’s my 2021 goal… Let’s see if we can do it!
