My Blog Writing Process So Far in 2025 (Part Two)

by Chris McGinty

I spoke before that my daily blog aspirations are because I agree with Seth Godin about the benefits of posting daily.

He’s discussed before that he does have quite a few blog posts scheduled, but I get the impression that he still writes every day. My life being so chaotic as it sometimes feels, I really do need some lead ahead of the daily obligation. I like writing, but I hate feeling rushed. This is why I’m making it a priority to get ahead.

I’ve always thought that one of the big advantages of that lead would be that if you write some posts that are pretty evergreen in topic that you could conceivably keep scheduling those farther out into the future as you write material that is more time sensitive. I figure that, at first, it’s going to be one or two such posts, but the longer I go I might have blog posts for weeks (literally) that never have to be posted at any specific time.

To be fair, this could also be said for poorly written blog posts. They’re always there motivating you to write something better so that you don’t have to post it, but at least they’re there in case. My goal for now is just to get three weeks scheduled. After that, my goal will be to have three weeks scheduled where I actually like all the material.

Chris McGinty is a blogger who knows he can do this. It’s within his grasp. Anything is Possible. Electric Youth. Out of the Blue. What was I saying?
